Get ready to ride the wild sounds of Janky Rooster, the newest album from Nick Critchlow. With eight tracks that blend rock, bluegrass, folk, and blues, this album is a journey through up-beat rhythms, soulful melodies, and lyrics that are as playful as they are profound.

Janky Rooster is an eclectic mix of influences, pulling inspiration from iconic acts like Dave Matthews Band, Sublime, Jason Mraz, Bob Dylan, and the Rolling Stones. The result? A sound that’s laid-back yet energetic, with songs that are as clever as they are catchy.
One standout track, Danny DeVito, takes a lighthearted look at the different paths life can take. It’s a fun, tongue-in-cheek anthem that explores the choice between climbing the career ladder in misery or embracing the idea that maybe you don’t need to be rich—just happy. With lyrics that play with life’s absurdities and arrangements that swing between genres, Janky Rooster promises to be an album you’ll enjoy all year long.
